MEMS devices/systems are equipped to convert a measured mechanical signal into an electrical signal and has ability to sense the mechanical/ thermal/magnetic functionality on the micro scale and produce effects on the macro scale. The MEMS devices electronics are fabricated using integrated circuit (IC) processing technologies and the micromechanical components are fabricated using silicon and other substrates by micromachining processes.
