Clariant partners with Neste, who is one of the provider of sustainable diesel and renewable chemical provider. The partnership will include Neste’s renewable hydrocarbons to increase the product portfolio that are derived from renewable raw materials. Clariant attaining the sustainable solutions will positively impact various industries such as, plastics, adhesives and coating market.
Neste’s C2/C3 monomers derived from renewable hydrocarbons will be utilized by Clariant. The feedstock is manufactured from residue and waste raw materials such as used renewable vegetable oils and cooking oil. Monomers utilised by Clariant will be replaced by monomers C2/C3 to develop advanced polyolefin solutions, utilized for various applications.
As per the Neste’s CEO, the partnership will be very effective owing the Clariant’s deep knowledge in various applications like adhesives, coatings and plastic. And Neste’s knowledge and experience working with bio based materials to manufacture renewable solutions.
