Streaming video is a process in which content is sent over internet in compressed form and displayed in real time, the content (video or audio) can be played immediately rather than being saved to the hard drive. With streaming video, user does not have to wait to download a file to play it, the media is sent in continuous streams of data and played as it arrives.
